Undiscovered Sub-$1 Gold-Silver Royalty Stock Takes Flight

October 20, 2026

Bonus Content: Disc Medicine Soared on a Trial Win, Then Sold $350M of Stock

A note from our friends at Resource Stock Digest(ad)

Gold and silver are in a powerful bull market – and one ultra-low-priced small-cap precious metals company has quietly built a unique way to capitalize on this historic uptrend.

The company is already generating record revenue from producing gold and silver mines.

It has attracted some of the biggest names in the resource arena.

And it just announced the largest transaction in its history.

Yet incredibly… shares remain largely undiscovered below $1.

That creates an intriguing opportunity to get in early and low as this fast-emerging company enters its biggest growth phase yet.

What makes this story especially compelling is the business model.

Unlike the typical mining firm, this company doesn’t have to build or operate a single mine.

Instead, it puts its capital to work in carefully selected mining projects in exchange for a share of the gold and silver produced:

✔ Exposure to multiple producing mines without operating them
✔ Exploration upside and mine-life growth funded by mine operators
✔ Diversification across multiple metals and jurisdictions
✔ Growing cash flow to be deployed into new royalties and streams
✔ Powerful leverage to rising gold and silver prices

In other words… put capital to work once… generate cash flow… reinvest that cash flow into the next opportunity… rinse and repeat.

That’s the power of the royalty and streaming model – and this soon-to-be-known sub – $1 company is reaching a critical inflection point as you read this.

And there’s another piece of this story you absolutely need to know.

Behind the company is a longstanding strategic relationship with a major mining-focused investment firm – giving it direct access to a steady pipeline of deals across the global mining landscape.

And we’re already seeing that secret weapon hard at work.

The company has just inked a new gold streaming deal on an established producing gold mine – by far the largest transaction in its history – signaling just how much bigger this story is becoming.

And the smart money is already paying attention.

One of the sector’s best-known financiers has put his own money behind the firm and believes it has a durable competitive advantage in the royalty and streaming space.

Better still, he joins the company’s CEO in our exclusive interview.

We’ve put together a FREE online report revealing the full story – including:

✔ The royalty and streaming advantage
✔ Producing assets already generating cash flow
✔ Largest transaction in company history
✔ The secret weapon driving the deal flow
✔ Our exclusive in-depth interview with the CEO and special guest

And with shares still below $1, the opportunity to get in early is right now.

Disc Medicine Soared on a Trial Win, Then Sold $350M of Stock

Most biotech stocks get one moment of clarity a year. Disc Medicine (IRON) got its on October 19, 2026, and then immediately complicated it.

Before the market opened that morning, IRON jumped in premarket trading as investors awaited topline data from its pivotal Phase 3 APOLLO trial of bitopertin for erythropoietic protoporphyria. By the time the webcast ended, the stock was up more than 70% on the session. By evening, the company had announced a $350 million equity offering. As of Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the stock is still indicated up roughly 28% from Monday’s pre-announcement close.

What APOLLO Actually Showed

The data were not a close call. Bitopertin met both co-primary endpoints and all secondary endpoints in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study enrolling 183 adults and adolescents aged 12 and older, who received either 60 mg of bitopertin or placebo for six months.

At month six, bitopertin reduced whole-blood metal-free PPIX by 41.4% versus placebo (p<0.0001), increased average total time in light without pain by 12.2 hours versus placebo (p=0.0010), and the incidence rate of phototoxic reactions was 71% lower versus placebo. Quality-of-life measures, including Patient Global Impression of Change and Patient Global Impression of Severity scores, were also statistically significant at p<0.0001.

That breadth matters. The FDA issued a Complete Response Letter for bitopertin in February 2026 after concluding the application did not provide sufficient evidence to support approval, with its main objection tied to the sufficiency of PPIX as a surrogate biomarker for clinical benefit. The agency pointed to the ongoing Phase 3 APOLLO study as a potential basis for a response that could support traditional approval. APOLLO delivered the link the FDA had been looking for, across every endpoint Disc highlighted in its topline release.

Based on these results, Disc plans to resubmit an NDA to the FDA by the end of 2026, with an FDA decision anticipated by mid-2027.

The Offering

Hours after the data webcast, Disc moved to capitalize on the surge. The company announced the commencement of an underwritten public offering of $350 million of common stock and, for certain investors, pre-funded warrants, with underwriters also granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional $52.5 million of shares.

Proceeds will fund research and clinical development of current or additional product candidates, and support potential commercialization of bitopertin for EPP and X-linked protoporphyria, along with pre-commercialization activities for other pipeline candidates. Jefferies, Leerink Partners, Morgan Stanley, and Cantor are serving as joint book-running managers.

Shares fell in extended trading after the offering was announced, a reaction that was mild given the scale of dilution. The stock had done most of its work already.

Is IRON Still Worth Owning Here?

The honest answer is: it depends on what you think mid-2027 FDA approval is worth, and how much you trust the path from here to there.

The trial result removes the largest single risk that had hung over IRON for most of this year. A drug that could not satisfy the FDA on the clinical meaning of biomarker reductions after its earlier submission has now posted a clean Phase 3 readout in a 183-patient study across every primary and secondary endpoint. The resubmission path is clear.

The offering is a different kind of complication. Raising $350 million the same evening as a pivotal readout is standard biotech practice, and Disc would be negligent not to lock in capital after a surge like this. But it does mean new investors are buying into a larger share count at a price that already reflects the good news.

Pivotal trial wins create a specific valuation problem: the stock reprices instantly, leaving new buyers to judge whether the post-data multiple can be earned. A single Phase 3 result can swing a biotech’s market cap by tens of billions before the commercial case is proven.

Risks Worth Noting

  • Dizziness remains a real side effect. Consistent with prior studies, dizziness was the most commonly reported treatment-emergent adverse event in the bitopertin group (50%) versus placebo (11%). Disc characterized it as generally mild or moderate and generally transient, and reported no treatment-emergent adverse events above Grade 3.
  • No revenue yet. Disc has not generated revenue since inception, which is why sales-based valuation metrics can be unhelpful in the usual way for a clinical-stage biotech.
  • The FDA still decides. A clean Phase 3 package with a mid-2027 decision timeline leaves room for regulatory surprises, even if the probability of a second rejection has fallen sharply.

The Bottom Line

What Disc Medicine pulled off in a single 24-hour window is genuinely rare. A pivotal trial that answered the FDA’s central clinical question, followed by a capital raise that should fund the company through commercialization. The company held $717.7 million in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities as of June 30, 2026, and with $350 million more in the pipeline, the balance sheet concern essentially disappears.

Investors who owned IRON before Monday earned a significant reset in hours. Investors considering it today are buying a well-funded company with an approvable rare-disease drug and a mid-2027 FDA decision. That could still be worth owning. It is just no longer cheap.
